6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. (Col. 4:6 NIVO)
Have you ever visited someone who is fighting for their life in the hospital? It is difficult to watch them hooked up to cords and machines doing all the breathing for them.
Have you ever spent time with family members who are struggling with emotions and make comments such as, “I just wish I was able to have one more conversation with them.”
Moments like that certainly put life into perspective.
Most of the time we don’t know when our last conversation will be with someone so Make Each Conversation Count.
Jesus knew His days on earth were numbered, and He still spent His last days the same way He spent all His other days…talking with His Father, talking to others about true life and reminding them of the things that matter.
What life giving words do you need to have with those around you? What conversations do you need to engage?
In those difficult moments at the intersection of life and death, give hugs, give hope, give grace.
In those difficult moments, tap into the Spirit of God which will provide comfort and intercession to the Father when feelings are bigger than your words and know that you are never alone.
