Live Wires

Live Wires are loosely defined as members who are 55 yrs. of age or older, retired or not, who want to be involved in our ministry.

“Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.” Galatians 6:9-10

We have fellowship with each other through fun activities such as Game Nights, covered dish lunches, day and overnight trips, and holiday parties. We conduct/participate in service projects such as replacing cards and sharpening pencils in the auditorium for use in our services, volunteering at the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Center in Nashville and some now volunteer at the Alabama National Cemetery, purchasing school supplies and Christmas gifts for Agape children, help meet the needs of members under special circumstances and church-wide projects such as needs of storm victims in our area and providing needed supplies for Childhaven and Agape.
We participate in outreach by being involved in our Visitors Center and Bible studies through World Bible School.

We participate in our youth programs such as Golden Age banquet and assisting in purchasing Backpacks for the Homeless.

Daily Bible Reading

…grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. – 2 Peter3:18

Daily Bible study is a part of a Christian’s life. We encourage you to study the Bible so you can understand what the Will of God is for your life. By reading His word and listening to what He says, you will have a greater understanding of the purpose of your life and why you exist here on earth.
