Contaminated

Luke 8: 46 But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power had gone out of Me.” 47 When the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came trembling and fell down before Him, and declared in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched Him, and how she had been immediately healed. 48 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.” (NASB)
This story is so powerful on so many levels. You read about this lonely woman with a big problem. No one has been able to help her; no doctor or modern medicine of their time had helped her find relief. Only Jesus was able to heal her completely. She had a bad case of hemorrhage. Under Jewish law she was not supposed to touch or be touched by anyone (Lev 15:21-28). For many of them, their only choice was to stay home (Ezekiel 36). Imagine her loneliness. Think about her hopeless situation in order to heal?
We may not have the same problem as this poor soul, but we have a bigger problem; SIN! Sin has corrupted our souls, sin has entered in our lives and made us live in suffering. Sometimes because of sin, we tend to isolate ourselves, separating ourselves from the body of Christ. Our only cure is Jesus. Come to Him and take a step of faith, and HE will heal you from your contamination.
