It Is Well With My Soul

When peace like a river, attendeth my way.
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, It is well with my soul.
My sin, oh the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
It is well, It is well with my soul.
And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend.
Even so, it is well with my soul.

You got out of bed this morning,.. did you pray?
You have meetings, projects, and tests…did you pray?
You have family that is counting on you…did you pray?
Your body aches and your heart aches at times,
did you pray?
You have responsibilities around the house and in your life…did you pray?

Ask Him this question daily, “Lord, what are you trying to tell me today?” Allow our prayers to be conversations with Him. Listen deeply to His response. God’s got this!
As we anchor to His Word, His guidance, His direction, it has become more and more apparent to me, that our God is extremely active in answering our prayers, He really, really, loves us, and His Spirit points us to Jesus every single time.
As I write this, I am reflecting on our family and thinking about our various stories we are living. Some are rejoicing greatly while others are grieving deeply. Some are anxiously awaiting test results of all types while others are living the daily grind of life. Some are preparing to be empty nesters as they have sent or will send their last child to college while others are holding their new grandchild.
May we all rest in the arms of Jesus and enjoy time with Him throughout each day He gives us to live. May our hearts embrace the realization that with the comfort, hopes and promises in Jesus, All is well with my soul…
