Have you ever come home from work or school, and your stomach was growling as you hunted for something in the pantry or refrigerator to eat? That was me the other day, but I found nothing that I could just pop in the microwave. I noticed the juice from the leftover steak on a plate in the sink…Jackson ate my steak, and I was not happy.
I decided to mix up some concoction to put together that would cure my growling belly, and I found a special recipe that my mom had placed in my recipe book she gave me in college.

Recipe for Happiness:
2 heaping cups of patience
1 head full of understanding
1 heart full of love
2 hands full of generosity
Dash of Laughter
Sprinkle generously with kindness.
Add plenty of faith.
The recipe for happiness wasn’t what I was looking for, but it was even better…more sustaining. To cure the growling belly, I ended up spreading some peanut butter on some crackers and even threw a few sprinkles on top.
This week is Spring Break for many. I hope you find your recipe for happiness and thoroughly enjoy time with family. Make the most of these rare opportunities. Smile. Be Happy and get out there and do something great for the Kingdom.

13 A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit. (Proverbs15:13 NIV)

13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.
(James 5:13 NIV)

23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ (Matthew 25:23 NIV)
