But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.
There is a question that many of us have wondered about – Where is it leading? I sometimes wonder when I am making a lesson, where am I leading them? As I teach my kids, I wonder as well. When I read the Bible, I ask the same question. We know that the Old Testament leads us to Christ. It points us to the coming of the Messiah, the Savior of the world. The New Testament also leads us somewhere. It leads us back to God. It leads us to the place where God dwells – Heaven. So all of our learning, all of our reading, all of our actions should be directed to the goal we have in mind.
We have a few hobbies on this earth. We have things that distract us, but we shouldn’t let the distractions be the main part of our lives. Looking for God and doing His will should be our main focus. Many people are looking at us. Many people watch our walk. Where are we leading them? What direction is my life going and where will my children be? They will be in the place where I lead them. Let’s refocus and lead our families back to God.
