* Sunday - Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. (Hebrews 13:4 ESV)

Almighty God, our merciful and gracious Father in heaven ~ hear our prayers of faith on this new day as we humbly and even boldly approach your dazzling regal presence. Grant us the will to ardently desire better days for this nation where we live, according to your everlasting will. Help us to work more diligently to restore respect for the honorable institution of marriage in our civil society. Bless those Christians whose marriages are good examples of a loving home where children grow up feeling secure knowing your word is part of the family life. Help all leaders of churches in this nation work more than they ever have to provide good examples of a home with one man and one woman devoted to Christ as Lord. Bless the children who are living without both a mother and father to know that they are loved by you as their Father. We pray fervently in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

* Monday -The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 NIV)

Dear heavenly Father ~ thank you for granting us the mysterious and priceless gift of life that ignites our mortal bodies so that we are able to enjoy being part of your wonderful creation. Most of all, we are deeply grateful for our new Spirit-filled life in Christ that comes with the promise of eternal life. Help us to energetically live each day involved in works that bring honor and glory to Christ our God as we plead with lost souls to come to the point of repentance from sin before it is too late. We earnestly pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

* Tuesday - And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

Most holy and awesome God - you are glorious beyond all description forever and ever! Thank you dear Father for supplying our every need in abundance before we even recognize we have a need. Give us wisdom so that we will act prudently and give liberally with cheerful hearts while we are full partners with those who execute bold plans to spread your love along with the saving gospel to every nation on earth. In the name of Christ Jesus we pray, Amen.

* Wednesday - Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.” (Luke 8:18 ESV)

Almighty God, our merciful heavenly Father ~ we give you thanks on this new day as we count our blessings and realize how much you love your creatures, even when we fail to live up to your good and perfect plan for our lives. Grant us sufficient amount of wisdom from your Spirit that will enable us to pay more close attention to the teachings of Christ our Lord that are revealed in the Scriptures. Help us to put into practice what we hear and learn from our Lord that make it possible for us to share this knowledge with others. We pray in Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

* Thursday - Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise, (Ephesians 6:1-2)

Almighty God, our dear heavenly Father ~ thank you Lord - for your constant mercy and kindness that shower our lives with blessings too numerous to count. Give us more of the stellar wisdom of Christ so that we will allow our lights to shine throughout this land and into all the world. Help all families to be more devoted to your eternal principles that will safely guide young and old alike, through the conflicting moral and ethical messages of worldly minded people. We pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

* Friday - Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

Most holy God, our dear heavenly Father ~ fill us with the dazzling bright light that radiates from your throne of grace as we do our best to follow in the footsteps of our blessed Lord and Savior. Help every believer to become a trustworthy and brightly shining light, whose righteous words and actions will help others find their way out of the darkness of ignorance and despair by obeying Christ as Lord. We earnestly pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

* Saturday - "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (John 17:20-21 NIV)

Dear heavenly Father ~ hear our prayers on this new day as we hear growing talk of deadly wars among people around the world. Lord, we understand that we humans can do nothing without your knowledge. Help us to know your good and perfect will and to act judiciously in order to make peace when we have such opportunities. Give us wisdom to know how to bring various waring factions together in search of truth in the great spiritual warfare that also circles the earth. We pray fervently in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
