* Sunday - And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:17)

Almighty God, our dear heavenly Father ~ thank you for bringing us to witness the dawn of another beautiful Lord’s Day. Be with all of your faithful believers who assemble in honor of Christ our dear Lord. Holy Father, as you teach us to glorify your Son who sits at your right hand, we do not diminish our respect and love for you as we obey you in honoring Jesus, the One you chose to teach us sacrificial love and how to live the perfectly good life as we follow our Master. We fervently pray in the precious name of our Lord Jesus, Amen.

* Monday - So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. (2 Timothy 2:22 ESV)

Almighty God, eternally strong and glorious defender of the defenseless ~ dear heavenly Father, we enter your gates with thanksgiving in our hearts on this new day that brings us fresh hopes for your pure blessings that will lead us into greater acts of service to Christ the Lord. Help Christians of all ages, especially young adults, to be more in tune with spiritual realities that lead to true and lasting happiness in this life and the one to come. Give us wisdom and courage to be the best possible examples for those who come after us. We pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

* Tuesday - Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint. (Proverbs 25:19)

Our dear heavenly Father ~ hear our prayers of adoration and thanksgiving for the abundant blessings we receive daily from your bounteous heart of love. Give us sharper wisdom as we consider the character of those who are in positions of power so that we will not be deceived by those who have complete disregard for your perfect statutes and the will of Christ our Lord. Grant leaders in your glorious church the wisdom and courage to follow you first before they attempt lead others. Help us dear Lord to do our best to live in such a manner that reflects Christ living in us. We fervently pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

* Wednesday - Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but must endure God's wrath. (John 3:36)

lmighty God, our holy, righteous, merciful and kind dear Father in Heaven ~ hear our prayers of praise on this new day that brightly burns with brand new evidence of your constant presence and concern for your created beings. Give us courage of our convictions as we do our best to trust and obey Christ as Lord in all phases of our lives. Help us to make and execute bold plans to tell this out of control world about the coming day of your wrath upon all those who refuse to obey your glorious Son - our Savior. We pray fervently in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

* Thursday - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

Most holy and awesome God, our dear Father in heaven ~ thank you for hearing the pleas of those in countries like Ukraine who cry desperately for peace instead of war as well as those in Syria, Nigeria and other nations whose peace has been shattered by unnecessary violence. Grant us wisdom and true love, joy and peace as we reject the clever tricks of Satan and obey our Lord Jesus Christ who leads us safely to our eternal home. We pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

* Friday - And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. (1 John 3:23)

Dear, our merciful and kind heavenly Father ~ we come into your presence on this new day that arrives with many reminders of your power and glory. Grant us an abundance of the perfectly insightful wisdom of Christ our Lord so that we will speak and act toward others with the same loving spirit that we learn from our Master. It is unimaginable to our spiritually limited vision, that you would send your Son to die for the mathematically indecipherable number of sins we - your creatures whom you love have committed. Help us to be more compassionate to those who do not know about the vastness of your plan of salvation that extends to everyone who will believe and obey Christ as Lord. We fervently pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

* Saturday - And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. (Philippians 2:8 ESV)

O God, our dear heavenly Father ~ we come into your presence on this new day with bright hopes as we consider the depth of your love. As we consider the truth that even Christ experienced human death that we all fear and dread, we love you even more as your Spirt makes it possible for us to partially comprehend the great power of the force of love that brings salvation to all people. Open the hearts of people to the gospel message so that more will comprehend that we truly can overcome death because of your amazing grace, when we obey Jesus as Lord. We pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
